my brothers 1974 plymouth duster slide show and starting up

This was the two door version of the Valiant…with base interiors, but often large powerplants. Sorry I couldn’t determine what was under the hood on this one, but smog regulations probably severely restricted horsepower at this point. Soon the Valiant would be known as the Volare..and the magic seemed to have passed for Valiant with that name change.

This is the first year for the 360 Duster, and is near the end of the trail for the Duster. It was soon to become “Volare”…I suppose an attempt by Chrysler to inject a European attitude to what was an American car. It couldn’t disguise the fact that these cars were becoming “long of tooth”…and their bright days were over. Some really nice mods to the engine on this car!

This is a walk around of a 1974 Plymouth Duster 360. Beautiful car, Eggshell white with black 360 stripes, tinted windows, Rallye wheels/ BF Goodrich tires, New exhaust with original exhaust tips. Engine has less than 20k on rebuild and automatic trans has less than 500 miles on rebuild. Beautiful car, weekend driver! CLASSICAUTOWORX.COM

Mechanic Nate Hartwell finally broke the rear differential to his 1973 Plymouth Duster as we took it out of hiding. He was happy this finally happened as it’s the perfect excuse for him to replace it with the heavier-duty one he’s had waiting to be installed. Here’s the video of the beast and its clean break at the end. Stay tuned for the next video: THE CLEAN FIX!
